Yoghurt/Rice with hemp seeds

Healthy Aussie breakfast with hemp seeds and fruit – nutrient-rich, plant-based goodness

Ingredients

  • 300 ml almond milk
  • 8 tbsp hulled hemp seeds
  • 3 tbsp ground flaxseeds
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)

Method

  1. Add all ingredients (except the maple syrup) to a saucepan and bring to a gentle boil.
  2. Reduce to a medium heat and simmer until the porridge thickens to your preferred consistency.
  3. Sweeten with maple syrup to taste, if desired.

Goes well with

  • Paleo banana bread
  • Avocado coffee shake

Our Tip

We love this porridge with fresh fruit – it’s naturally sweet enough that you won’t even miss the maple syrup. It’s also delicious with a spoonful of cocoa powder stirred through.

If you’re reintroducing dairy, try to go for the least processed option possible. Fresh raw milk from a trusted local farm is always a great choice.
